After moving into the top-10 in the CARS Tour points standings for the first time this season, Mini Tyrrell and the #81 Mini T’s Fastest Grease In The East team heads to Ace Speedway for Friday night’s Late Model event looking for a breakthrough under the lights in rural Altamahaw, N.C.

It’s been more than 600 days since Mini Tyrrell and the #81 Mini T’s Fastest Grease In The East team raced at Orange County Speedway. After the Old North State Nationals shifted to South Carolina amidst coronavirus restrictions in 2020, the CARS Tour returns to the 3/8-mile track in Rougemont, N.C. with a $30,000 payday awaiting the winner.

After a string of disappointing finishes dating back to last season, Mini Tyrrell and the #81 Mini T’s Fastest Grease In The East team put together a much-needed 7th place effort in the CARS Tour race at Hickory Motor Speedway.

After a disappointing finish to open the CARS Tour season, Mini Tyrrell and the #81 Mini T’s Fastest Grease In The East team head to North Carolina’s short track Pantheon on March 20 in search of redemption and buoyed by memories from last summer.

Mini Tyrrell and the #81 Mini T’s Fastest Grease In The East team begin the 2021 CARS Tour season with a trek to Dillon Motor Speedway in South Carolina on March 6.

Quaker State, a recognized leader in motor oil and automotive lubricants, will serve as an associate sponsor of Mini Tyrrell and the #81 Timmy Tyrrell Racing team for the full CARS Tour season in 2021.

For the third consecutive year, Mini Tyrrell has been selected by the Solid Rock Carriers CARS Tour to be part of its Lucas Oil Touring 12 incentive-based program. The driver of the #81 Mini T’s Fastest Grease in the East Late Model is entering his third season on the highly competitive Late Model series which will race in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina this season.

There were a lot of memorable moments on and off the track for Mini and the #81 team in 2020. With the CARS Tour schedule seemingly always in flux because of the coronavirus pandemic, Mini and the team persevered to post 3 finishes in the top-4, as well as continuing to make a difference in so many lives. Take a look back at some of our favorite times from the past season.

It wasn’t the finish that Mini Tyrrell and the #81 Mini T’s Fastest Grease In The East race team wanted, but it was definitely a finish they needed with a hard fought 8th place effort in the CARS Tour race at Florence Motor Speedway.
