Timmy Tyrrell was named after his father. He picked up the nickname "Mini" at a young age and it stuck.
In 2021, Mini captured a pole position and won the CARS Tour race at Tri-County Speedway, NC. In 2020, Mini scored a victory in the CARS Tour 25-lap Heat Race at Greenville-Pickens Speedway and a pole position at Hickory Motor Speedway, NC. In 2019, Mini won the CARS Tour Late Model Rookie of the Year Award on the heels of 1 top-5 and 6 top-10 finishes. Mini's team is led by veteran Late Model champion Brandon Butler, who serves as crew chief.
Mini has won two Late Model Stock Car championships and is the youngest to win two Late Model Stock Car races at the age of 10. Mini was the youngest to win in both the youth and pro divisions of Arena Racing (½ scale indoor stock cars). He also won the World Karting Association’s (WKA) World Dirt Championship at Daytona International Speedway.
Off the track, Mini is a philanthropist having raised more than $475,000 for childhood cancer and other causes through Mini's Mission "Burn Rubber to Help Another."
