"Night, the beloved. Night, when words fade and things come alive. When the destructive analysis of day is done, and all that is truly important becomes whole and sound again." -- Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

After moving into the top-10 in the CARS Tour points standings for the first time this season, Mini Tyrrell and the #81 Mini T's Fastest Grease In The East team heads to Ace Speedway for Friday night's Late Model event looking for a breakthrough under the lights in rural Altamahaw, N.C.

"I'm excited to head back to Ace Speedway," Mini said. "It's a great short track because it allows for intense side-by-side racing. I can't wait to get out there."

This will be Mini's third career start at the 4/10-mile oval. In April 2019, Mini started 17th at Ace Speedway during his rookie season. He overcame two spins during the race and finished in 8th place. Last June, he started 10th and moved up to 7th place before a brake problem ended his night on lap 72.

Mini enters the race in a three-way tie for 10th in the series standings, but he's just 6 points away from 4th place in the highly competitive standings. A strong effort under the lights at Ace Speedway could thrust Mini to his highest points position since the conclusion of the 2019 season.
