"Home is a name, a word, it is a strong one; stronger than a magician ever spoke, or spirit ever answered to, in the strongest conjuration." -- Charles Dickens

For Mini Tyrrell and the #81 Mini T's Fastest Grease In The East team, the race at Dominion Raceway is vastly different from the others on the CARS Tour. For starters, it's the closest track to home and a symbolic anchor for the driver and the race team. And, naturally, it's a place where many familiar faces line the grandstand and the suites.

From his early go karting days at King George Speedway, through his Late Model success at Shenandoah Speedway, and now onto the highly competitive CARS Tour, Mini has cultivated a dedicated and passionate fan base throughout the Commonwealth. "I'm very excited to race close to home," Mini said in advance of Saturday night's Radley Chevrolet 125. "I have a lot of friends and family who are coming to see me again. We're planning to put on a great show."

In his two previous CARS Tour starts at Dominion Raceway, the 16-year-old driver from Manassas has indeed put on a great show. In his rookie season in 2019, Mini qualified 3rd and finished a strong 4th. It was his best CARS Tour start and finish of his inaugural season. Last year, he started 6th and worked his way up to 2nd place. He inherited the lead for a late race restart, but lost the top spot to eventual winner Jonathan Findley. In an eventful finish, he held on for a CARS Tour career-best 2nd place finish after spinning sideways at checkered flag in a 3-way battle with Brandon Pierce and Jonathan Shafer.

The Radley Chevrolet 125 concludes a stretch of 5 CARS Tour races in the span of 8 weeks. Mini and the race team will have a much needed summer break prior to the next race at Hickory Motor Speedway on July 31.
