Mini Tyrrell and the #81 Mini T's Fastest Grease In The East team have some unfinished business at the historic Hickory Motor Speedway in Hickory, North Carolina. After struggling at the .363-mile track in 2019, Mini returned in June on a mission. He was in the top-3 on the leaderboard in every practice session and qualified a strong 5th. In the race, he ran as high as 3rd and battled for the runner-up spot. However, as has been the case too often in 2020, a dose of bad luck hindered his efforts.

Seven weeks after the last race, the 15-year-old driver returns to the track that is truly the Birthplace of the NASCAR Stars. "I can't wait to go back and race at Hickory," Mini said. "I think we've got a great Mini T's Fastest Grease In The East Chevrolet and can definitely contend for the win."

Although the race finishes have been disappointing thus far in 2020, there is some silver lining beneath the surface. Mini's 9.3 average start is 4th best among the 18 CARS Tour drivers who've started all 3 races.

Ultimately, success in motorsports is measured by finishes, which Mini is striving to improve. "We had a great weekend at Hickory in June," Mini said. "We ran as high as third, but we started falling back in the field and came in for an adjustment." He wound up losing 2 laps on pit road as the crew worked to tighten the track bar bolt. When Mini returned to the race, he was running laps faster than the race leaders. Unfortunately, a cut tire brought him to pit road and forced an early exit from the race.
